How do I upgrade my Basic Account?

Congratulations on taking the first step towards enhancing your banking experience with OwnBank! Upgrading your basic account unlocks a range of tailored features and services to meet your evolving financial needs.


Before you begin, make sure you have one of the following valid IDs with you:

• Philippine Passport

• SSS ID

• Driver’s License

• Postal ID

• UMID

• National ID

• Voter's ID


Then follow these simple steps to access the Upgrade Application Form:

1. Go to the OwnBank app homepage and click the Profile Icon located in the top right corner.


2. Click on the "Upgrade" button.

Note: If you cannot locate the Upgrade button, kindly update the OwnBank app to the latest version.


3. Proceed by clicking "Continue" on the pop-up message at the bottom of the screen to begin the upgrade application.


4. Follow the instructions to enter all the ID informatoin, personal information and additional information to complete the upgrade application.


After you submit the upgrade application form, you can expect the result within 24 hours. Should you encounter any issues with the account upgrade or have other concerns, feel free to reach out to our customer support.
