How does my insurance policy on OwnBank define a sudden death?

Sudden death refers to the sudden onset of acute illness or symptoms, and if death occurs within 14 hours after the onset of acute symptoms due to natural diseases, it is considered sudden death. Deaths resulting from the acute exacerbation of pre-existing chronic diseases in individuals do not qualify as sudden death. This product includes sudden death coverage only in policies with coverage amounts of ₱300,000 or more. For more information, please refer to Metropolitan Insurance Company Inc.
